What is a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist?
A general physical therapist is someone who graduated from a certified physical therapy program, and specializes in treating the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems of the body. A pelvic floor physical therapist is similar to a general physical therapist, but has additional training and expertise about the pelvic floor muscles and how they interact with the body and nearby organs.
What is your cancellation policy?
To respect the time of our clients and staff, we kindly request that any appointment cancellations be made by 12:00 PM the day prior to the scheduled session.
- Cancellations after 12:00 PM the day before but before the appointment time will incur a fee of $145.
- Cancellations made at the time of the appointment will be considered a no-show and will be charged the full cash rate for the session.

Should I cancel my appointment if I am on my menstrual cycle?
No. We feel comfortable to treat patients on their menstrual cycle. However, treatment can always be modified by your therapist at this time according to your preference.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. If you are not in the tri-state area, we do offer virtual consultations.
Do you accept insurance?
We are out-of-network providers of physical and occupational therapy. This means that if you have out-of-network benefits on your insurance plan, we will bill your insurance provider on your behalf as a complimentary service. When you call to make an appointment, we will collect your insurance information and then verify your benefits. You will receive a phone call to explain your benefits and the associated treatment costs.

Can I see a physical therapist without a referral from a physician?
Yes. In New York state, you can see a physical therapist without a prescription for 30 days or 10 visits (within 30 days). After this, you will need a prescription. During your initial consult, we can assist you on how to obtain this.
Is it normal to have pain with intercourse?
No! Sex should never be painful. There are certain conditions, such as vaginismus, vulvodynia, and endometriosis, that can cause pain with intercourse. Additionally, during a woman’s lifetime, she could experience sexual pain with hormonal changes related to birth control pills, pregnancy, or menopause.Â
Do you treat men, children and transgender patients?
We treat individuals of all genders and ages, including pediatrics. We offer specialty care for Transgender patients.
