Physical Therapy Insurance Policies
We are out-of-network providers of physical and occupational therapy.
This means that if you have out-of-network benefits on your insurance plan, we will bill your insurance provider on your behalf as a complimentary service. When you call to make an appointment, we will collect your insurance information and then verify your benefits. You will receive a phone call to explain your benefits and the associated treatment costs.
If your deductible is not met, you will be required to pay out of pocket for treatment until the deductible is satisfied. Once the deductible is met, you will then switch to a copay.
For example, if you have a $3,000 deductible and only $500 is met, you will have to pay out of pocket for treatment until the $3,000 deductible is met. Once the $3,000 deductible is met, you will be switched to a copay plan.
For plans like Aetna and BCBS, our policies may vary.
We provide out-of-network billing to all patients who have out-of-network benefits. If you do not have out-of-network benefits, you will be required to pay the self-pay rate for every visit.
Please note that we do not offer in-network exceptions at our clinic.
We do work with Medicare as non-par providers. Patients with Medicare will typically receive reimbursement for their treatment.
We do not work with Medicaid plans as they do not offer out-of-network benefits.
Our Services are FSA and HSA Approved

Our Licenced Physical Therapists
All of our therapists are licensed physical therapists in New York State. We have received additional certifications, which include either the WCS or the PRPC. The WCS is a women’s health physical therapy certification from the American Physical Therapy Association, which is achieved after 2000 hours of work in pelvic health/women’s health physical therapy, completion of a patient case study, as well as passing specialty examination. The PRPC is the pelvic rehabilitation practitioner certification from Herman and Wallace Institute of Pelvic Health, which is achieved after taking 4 levels of pelvic floor training, followed by passing a specialty examination. All of our therapists take continuing education classes, as well as engage in mentoring and teaching.
Patient Testimonials
Solstice Physiotherapy is proud to help our patients recover from injuries and live pain-free lives. But don’t take our word for it, here are some reviews from patients who have benefited from our services.
“I’ve been in chronic pain from multiple illnesses for decades and never did pelvic floor PT after prolapse surgery. Just visited Solstice today, and they are the best. So comprehensive, and I felt a major improvement after just one visit. And they made the process of dealing with my health insurance a breeze.”
— Jennifer
“A truly incredible team. I was amazed to discover my insurance covered pelvic PT, so I went to address a few pregnancy symptoms and to help prepare my body for labor. My (induced) labor and recovery were both exceptional, and I know it’s in large part thanks to the stretching work I did with Erica. Can’t thank her enough.”
— KATHERINE
“If you have any pelvic pain, Solstice Physiotherapy is the place to go. They advised me on everything I needed to do in conjunction with my physical therapy. They sent me to the right doctors to further help me with my condition. They even helped with sorting out insurance matters to make sure I got my in-network exception approved quickly and easily. They go above and beyond for their patients, and that is why my mom and I are both patients, and we won’t go anywhere else.”
